About this role
This is a key role within Leeding Builders Group (“LBG”) responsible for management of the construction project accounting department. The Project Accounting Supervisor will ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions and financial reports in line with the expectations of our business, corporate parameters, and client requirements. Serves as a readily accessible point of contact for company personnel, providing timely responses to questions, issue resolution, and financial information requests.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Supervise and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including managerial responsibilities over multiple project accountantsEnsure timeliness and verify accuracy of the AIA application for payment process for the company’s portfolio of construction projectsProvide guidance to project teams and accountants regarding protocol for lien waivers, stored materials, deposit logs, and where required, payroll reporting, local hiring, etc.Maintain functional and professional templates for internal and external useInternally audit project budgets, costs, and financial performanceSpot-check applications for payment to ensure quality and consistency across all projectsWork closely with project managers to ensure accurate cost reporting and forecastingProvide support to project accountants for complex accounting matters, client inquiries, and subcontractor inquiriesAssist with month-end close processes related to project financialsSupport audits and ensure compliance with company and client requirementsDirectly process miscellaneous payables, including overhead payables and payables requiring allocation across multiple projectsProvide expense report oversight and assist with processing and approvalsPost job cost transactions entered by project accounting personnelReview and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracyEnsure timely payroll reporting to insurance carriersAssist with project budgeting and forecasting processesProvide training and guidance to accounting personnelPrepare financial analyses and reports for management reviewPeriodically audit user permissions across various accounting and vendor platformsPrepare invoices for preconstruction, consulting, and other miscellaneous servicesEvaluate and improve all financial policies, controls and processes that will position for efficient and effective continued growthEvaluate opportunities for process improvement and implementation of best methods and practicesApply an advanced understanding of concepts, industry knowledge and technical capabilitiesPossesses in-depth technical or functional knowledge in area of expertiseUndertake assignments outside the core skill set to expand expertise Minimum Requirements:Project Accounting Supervisor:BA/BS in accounting, finance, or a related field and 6 years minimum related construction accounting experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education ORProject Accounting Manager:BA/BS in accounting, finance, or a related field and 8 years minimum related construction accounting experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationPreferred Requirements:Working knowledge of Textura and CMiCKnowledge of Procore would be beneficialHighly organized, detail-oriented, and professional in communicationAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentPrior management experienceNotarySound technical skills (e.g., cost structures, job costing), good judgment and strong operational focusHands-on experience with AIA applications for payment and related documentationProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookFluent in EnglishAbilities RequiredExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective leadership and team management abilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFocus on accounting deadlinesExcellent time management and organizational skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to effectively handle stress, pressures, and challenges This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.This position is not hybrid nor remote.THIS POSTING IS FOR A CURRENT VACANCY, AND LEEDING BUILDERS GROUP INTENDS TO FILL THIS POSITION BY OCTOBER 30TH, 2026.At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
