About this role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Manager to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will oversee quality assurance and quality control functions for a mixed-use development project within our Project/Program/Construction Management (PMCM) division. You will be responsible for ensuring that all project deliverables meet established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management plans aligned with project specifications and industry standardsConduct regular inspections, audits, and testing of construction materials, workmanship, and installations across all project phasesEnsure compliance with UAE building codes, regulations, and international quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 45001)Identify quality deviations and non-conformances, documenting findings and implementing corrective and preventive actionsCollaborate with project teams, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues and maintain project timelinesPrepare detailed quality reports, metrics, and documentation for project stakeholders and management reviewLead quality meetings and provide technical guidance to project personnel on quality requirements and best practicesManage quality-related risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent defects and reworkCoordinate with design teams and consultants to clarify specifications and resolve technical quality concernsMaintain organized quality records, certificates of compliance, and test reports for project documentation Minimum 15 years of quality management experience in construction or mixed-use development projectsProven expertise in quality assurance and quality control methodologies and processesStrong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and relevant construction quality standardsFamiliarity with UAE building codes, regulations, and local construction practicesExperience with quality management systems and documentation softwareDemonstrated ability to conduct inspections, audits, and testing protocolsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approachStrong organizational and documentation management capabilitiesProficiency in PMCM software platforms and project management toolsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional team collaborationAbility to make decisive quality decisions and implement corrective actionsProfessional certifications in quality management (CQM, ASQ, or equivalent) preferredExperience managing quality on large-scale or complex construction projects preferred At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
